Happy Presidents Day! We would like to thank all of our nation’s great leaders for their hard work in the oval office; we know it can’t be easy. There are a couple of fun, FREE, things to do today to celebrate Presidents Day and we thought we would share.
- The Nixon Library, located in Yorba Linda, California, is free today. The library is not only beautiful but surprisingly there are so many things to do. You can see the limo that Nixon took to China, go inside a real presidential helicopter, visit the graves of Nixon and his wife and view all the wonderful exhibits. At 1:30PM the Nixon library will be hosting impersonators of President Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln, from the legendary Mount Rushmore. Plus the first 100 people to arrive will receive a free slice of cherry pie – yum!
- If our orange county apartment residents feel like taking a little drive, they can head over to the famed Los Angeles County Museum of Art and get in free. If you have never been to this museum it is worth the drive up to Los Angeles. The museum showcases works by fames artists such as Picasso, Chagall, Modigliani, along with Asian and Japanese art.
