Shea Apartment Communities annual food drive

I am happy to announce that we have a couple of food drives going on at Shea Apartment Communities’ Club Laguna and Corte Bella Apartments - please stop by and donate.

Let’s start by mentioning our Fountain Valley Apartments, today is the official start of Corte Bella Apartments food drive. From November 7 – 30, 2011, Corte Bella Apartments will be collecting food to donate to The Orange County Food Bank in Garden Grove. The Orange County Food Bank distributes 15 million pounds of food annually. In addition to the 23,000 people that the Food Bank Serves directly each month, it provides food and personal care items to over 300 non-profit service organizations, such as social service agencies, churches, shelters, soup kitchens and senior centers.

Grab some non-perishable items and bring them to the leasing office during business hours to donate to this great cause. Here are some of the most urgent items that the Food Bank is in need of:

  • Easy to open – canned meats, tuna, Span, Vienna sausage, ravioli, chili
  • Canned fruits
  • Canned meats
  • Canned vegetables
  • Dry foods – beans, rice, pasta, macaroni and cheese, cup-o-soup, cereal, oatmeal, pancake mix
  • Snacks – energy bars, granola bars and fruit leathers
  • Drinks – juice, bottled water, coffee or tea

Now I’d like to give a shout out to our Laguna Beach Apartments, who will be hosting their second annual Care & Share Holiday Food Drive. All donations will be going to the Second Harvest Food Bank.  Now until December 15, 2011, bring non-perishable food items to the Club Laguna Apartments leasing office during office hours and drop it in the Second Harvest Food Bank bins. They are looking for non-perishable items such as, canned meats, pasta, cereal, mac and cheese, rice, stuffing, beans and peanut butter.

All donations are appreciated and thank you for your support.
