iStock_000047535872_XXXLarge-1.jpgDenver is a city that’s renowned for dishing up some good grub. The only problem is that it’s one heck of a big place – so where on earth do you even begin looking for the kind of eateries that’ll get your taste-buds tingling?

Listed here are some of our favorite restaurants in Denver and the immediate surrounding area.

There’s no better meal to wake up to than the breakfasts served at SnoozeAMEatery. A buzzing breakfast/brunch eatery that attracts an upbeat morning crowd, Snooze dishes up some stimulating servings of eggs, tacos, pot pie, sandwiches and burritos – you can even cocktail if you’re in the mood. They offer a seasonal menu and encourage custom creations. With seven locations spread throughout Colorado - Denver, Centennial, Lone Tree, Boulder and Ft. Collins its time to hop in your car and try this tasty eatery!

Highlands Ranch

Serving up high-end, gourmet hot dogs with a kick-ass attitude, Biker Jim’s is a graffiti-speckled, no-nonsense American diner. Sporting a daring, delicious menu and boasting rapid cook speeds, Biker Jim’s is the most badass hot dog you’ll probably ever have. What’s a gourmet dog? According to Jim, a gourmet hot dog is made with exotic meats bolstered by quirky (and delicious) toppings. Not to worry thought, if you are not an “exotic” eater, Biker Jim’s still offers regular old dogs and even burgers – he’s got you covered!

Denver Tech Center

Denver Tech Center is home to a dizzying array of terrific restaurants, but Chianti Ristorante Italiano part of the Venice Ristorante group might very well be the best. An Italian eatery with class, style and grace, guests are free to take their pick from a menu that includes superb seafood, fine filet mignon and warm, crispy ciabatta bread. Il Fornaio is another great local Italian option with an in-house bakery and a gluten-free menu.

A quaint eatery tucked alongside Main Street, Portofino’s Pizza and Pasta is a modest establishment that serves up some of the finest Italian-American dishes you’re likely to find. Using fresh sauce squeezed from plump Roma tomatoes, this eatery is one of Parker’s proudest achievements – providing a menu that offers salads and calzones as well as pizza and pasta.

A mouth-watering American restaurant that’s both classic and classy, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar serves up some of the most succulent, sizzling steaks in Englewood. With high-quality kitchen staff who specialize in cooking this particular type of meat, Fleming’s is the place to go when your jonesing for a superb steak with a glass of fine wine on the side.
