When you call a Shea Apartment Community home, you can be assured we’re here for you every step of the way. From move-in to move-out, our goal is to afford you a superior living experience. When it’s time to make a move there are a few things we recommend in order to streamline your move-out experience.
- Cleaning - We recommend a thorough cleaning of your apartment, focusing on detail work and restoring everything to its original condition. This will minimize the chance that we will need to perform additional cleaning work. Our goal is always to provide the next resident with a clean, sanitized and comfortable living experience. For your convenience we offer a cleaning checklist which can be accessed online.
- Carpet - If your carpet has stains or damage, please take steps to restore the carpet to its original condition with the exception of ordinary wear.
- Paint - If you’ve been with us for 12 months or longer, we won’t charge for any touch-up paint work. However, if you have personalized your apartment home with painted accent walls, we ask that they be restored to their original condition.
- Outstanding utilities – your final utility bills from YES Energy Management (CA only) will be reflected on your move-out statement.
As a courtesy to our valued residents, after you give notice of intent to move, we offer the option to have a member of our service team conduct a preliminary move-out inspection of your home. This will give you a good idea of what items may need attention before you depart.
