We love our tech. There’s no denying that. Our devices themselves are akin to an arm or a leg. We love their functionality and their beauty.  Nearly all modern technology incorporates design into its manufacture.  Design experts contribute to the physical and functional aspects of our devices resulting in some of the most beautiful pieces of technology the world has ever seen.

So why are the chargers so hideous? Big, bulky, tangled, hideous chargers litter our apartments like a mess of tangled Christmas lights.  Living in an apartment, space is at a premium. Our chargers are out on public display and sometimes it’s not pretty.  Fortunately, the all-in-one charging station is a fix for keeping your apartment looking swank and clutter-free.

The Sanctuary from Bluelounge – Compatible with over 3,000 devices, the Sanctuary from Bluelounge is a self-proclaimed “charging haven.” We agree. It’s a great accessory to hold your keys, charge your iPhone® and keep your MP3 player full of juice. In addition to its standard charging ports, it offers a USB expansion port for additional devices.  From $129 at http://www.bluelounge.com/products/thesanctuary/

AVIQ Portable Charging Station – This portfolio-style device neatly stores and charges your devices, and is great for travelers. At $59, it’s about ½ the cost of other offerings. Check it out at http://www.aviiq.com/products/portable-charging-station

iDapt i4 – Lots of functionality with this one. IDAPT I4 is an innovative charging solution that can charge up to 4 mobile devices simultaneously and is compatible with over 4,500 devices! Some people may not like that devices must be anchored vertically by the charging port, but it’s worth a look nonetheless. Around $80 from http://www.idaptweb.com/universal_chargers/i4/

Select one of these devices to keep your apartment looking chic.  And while you’re at it check out this Pin on Everything Apartments – a community board on Pinterest.
