Aliso Viejo, Calif. – Shea Apartment Communities, a division of Aliso Viejo, Calif. – based Shea Properties, successfully raised over $400 in support of Habitat for Humanity at its annual employee picnic.
In addition fun events such as a water balloon toss and pie-eating contest, Shea Apartment Communities employees who made a donation to Habitat for Humanity were afforded three chances to hit a bulls-eye target, sending a Shea Apartment Communities Executive plunging into a dunk tank in the process.
“Knowing that we were raising funds for a good cause definitely made the repeated soakings a bit easier,” said Julee Holland, VP of Marketing for Shea Apartment Communities. “Our team members have a pretty good aim,” she added.
Steve Gilmore, Sr. VP Shea Apartment Communities and Mark Brubaker, Regional Manager joined in on the dunk tank fun as well.
Since 1976, Habitat for Humanity has served more than 500,000 families by welcoming people of all races, religions and nationalities to construct, rehabilitate or preserve homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
