Residents at City Lights Apartments of Aliso Viejo were singing and dancing through the streets Sunday as part of the city's LipDub, a video that combines lip syncing and audio dubbing.
More than 1,300 local businesses and Aliso Viejo residents participated in the four-hour production that began at Pacific Park and ended at the Town Center fountain. Video crews drove a cart along the designated streets filming one group after another in choreographed routines to Kool and the Gang's song "Celebration" played from a speaker.
Olympic gold medalist Kyla Ross was also on hand to participate and celebrate the video's production.
The song will be combined with "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO to make a video for the city and You Tube that organizers hope will go viral.
Most participants were promoting their local business in an effort to draw attention to the city, bring in new business and eventually improve the economy.
Keep your eyes open for the final video on YouTube.
