It’s Friday so skip cooking tonight and grab a burger because you deserve it! After hours of delicious research and adding a couple of extra inches to my waistline, I have found the best burgers in the OC – here are my top five picks!
SLATER'S 50/50 – THE BEST BURGERS ON EARTH. Whoever said making a great burger was easy lied. Anyone can make a burger but it takes the right kind of ingredients and a lot of TLC to make a GREAT burger and thats just what Slater’s 50/50 does! Slater’s 50/50 is home of the 100% bacon patty and the peanut butter and jelly burger – yep peanut butter & jelly! At first the PB&J burger can sound a little scary but once you take your first bite you are hooked. From the oozing peanut butter and sweet jelly to the crisp bacon and juicy meat patty, this burger is um-um-good! If you are still a little iffy about the PB&J a great alternative is the bacon burger because let’s just face it, you can’t go wrong with bacon - its meat candy.
Slater’s 50/50 is right in our Fountain Valley apartments backyard so I challenge you to try the PB&J burger and report back!
THE COUNTER – If you are in the mood for a traditional, but still equally delicious burger then head over to The Counter in Irvine. Just a few minutes away from our apartments in Irvine, The Counter has an extensive list of mouth-watering ingredients to build your own gourmet burger. There are so many options to choose from you can make 312,120+ different burger combos! My advice is to limit your toppings and stick to the burger classics if you get too creative you risk the chance of ruining your burger, trust me I have learned from experience. My favorite at the counter is a juicy turkey patty with bacon, avocado, lettuce and tomato.
CROW BURGER KITCHEN – Bit into one of Crow Burger Kitchen's mouth-watering-gourmet-burgers and you will be screaming “DELIC”! All The Crow Burgers contain 5 oz. of a top secret proprietary blend of prime chuck, short rib, brisket and hanger steak, all ground daily in-house and have never been frozen and all burgers are made to order. My personal favorite is the Crow Patty Melt. Yes I know it’s a patty melt but it’s in the burger family and I say it counts. No matter what you order at this restaurant you will not be disappointed.
Located in Newport Beach, Crow Burger Kitchen may be a drive for some of our Orange County residents but the restaurant is located only a few blocks off the freeways from our Aliso Viejo apartments, Laguna Beach apartments and Mission Viejo apartments - I highly recommend you try.
THE RIDERS CLUB CAFÉ – San Clemente’s best kept burger secret, the Rider’s Club offers a standard burger with a twist, a roasted pasillas and fried egg kind of twist! These gourmet burgers are packed full of flavor and can get a little messy, so make sure to double up on the napkins.
TK BURGERS – Last but definitely not least, TK Burgers will leave you wanting more. With eight locations in LA and Orange County, there is no excuse not to try one of their delicious burgers. Their meticulously burgers are char-broiled to perfection using the finest name-brand ingredients and the freshest produce available. Their meat is delivered daily too and never frozen! Not only are the burgers good but the prices are extremely reasonable which is a bonus.
Now that you’re craving a delicious burger I challenge you to try all these spots and send pics of your burgers, then let me know what you think!
