Vinegar, it smells a little sour but can be used for so many things, to eat, to drink and to clean your apartment. You can now stay away from expensive cleaning products, vinegar works just as good. Not only will you save money, you will have a clean and sparkly apartment - all you have to do its crack open a bottle of vinegar, pour it in some water and you are ready to start cleaning.

  1. Mop those dirt floors. Splash vinegar into a bucket of water, dip your mop and get scrubbing. Don’t worry about the vinegar smell, this goes away quickly! To add a heavenly scent, put a couple drops of your favorite essential oil.
  2. Fabric softener. Throw some vinegar in the wash while your clothes are on the rinse cycle, when your wash is complete put your clothes in the dryer - your clothes will come out of the dry softer and fluffier than ever!
  3. Clean your microwave. Do you have stains that are tough to fight? Microwave a bowl of vinegar to loosen up the grime and just wipe goo away. It usually takes 5 minutes in the microwave to loosen up the grime then let the vinegar condensation sit for an additional three minutes.
  4. Remove tea stains. Place your stained tea and coffee mugs in a sink filled with hot water, add a splash of vinegar and some dish soap. Soak for twenty minutes to an hour (depending on the stains) and then rinse.
