Throw on some green to keep the pinchers away and head down to your favorite pub to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this weekend. It’s the best day to celebrate all things Irish – the Irish jig, the Irish food and of course the Irish beer! This year you can relax and have some fun because St. Patrick’s Day is on a Saturday – yeah! Make sure to get to your favorite bar early because they tend to fill-up fast since this is one of the most popular drinking days of the year.
Here are some local St. Patrick’s Day celebrations around Shea Apartment Communities’ Orange County Apartments.
Hennessey’s Tavern, Dana Point & Laguna Beach. Hennessey’s is a great place for our Dana Point apartment and Laguna Beach apartment residents to partake in the Irish celebration. Start your morning off right with an Irish breakfast – a Guinness! Choose food from a traditional Irish menu of corned beef and hash, corned beef sandwiches and corned beef and cabbage plates. If you do not fancy Irish food, not to worry, Hennessey’s menu also has a selection of American food to keep you strong all day long. Specialty drinks will be served at the bar and you can dance the day away to the Irish bagpipers. If you want to take something home to remember your 2012 St. Patrick’s Day, Hennessey’s will have T-shirts, tanks and cups for sale.
Silky Sullivan’, Fountain Valley. If you’re really in the St. Patrick’s Day mood, our Fountain Valley apartment residents should enjoy the THREE DAY celebration that Silky Sullivan’s will be throwing. At Silky Sullivan’s you can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day from March 15 – 17, now that’s a party! This authentic Irish bar will have live entertainment and a special Irish menu complete with green beer.
Stadium Brewing Company. This is the perfect spot for our residents that live at City Lights Apartments in Aliso Viejo. Why?! First, residents can walk to it and second, this bar knows how to party. All the servers will be wearing fun costumes, a classic rock band will be performing live from 9:00PM until closing, playing a few Irish tunes of course. To top it off they have awesome Irish specials all day – drinks: 22 oz. green beers $8.00, Irish whiskey $5.00; food: corned beef and cabbage, Ruben sandwiches and shamrock corned beef and bratwurst stew.
